Into The Universe

He looked at me, grabbed my hand, and yelled, “Let’s go!”

And we ran,

We ran into the universe, through the stars and through the salt water so sacred it was always intended to give us life

We ran under the moonless, star splashed and scattered sky,

Accompanied by burning white lights of warmth.

We ran and ran and ran and I had a fire from my toes to my crown 

burning, pushing me forward.

I want to go forever.

And we will.

Every time I have you with me by my side

I have no fear,

I have no doubt,

I just run and laugh and feel what it is to be alive .

I thank you for being my best friend.

I thank you for being my companion.

We exist in human form,

And you are the only other human I have found who makes the animal shift during moon phases.

When it is just you and me and the skies and the salt there is nothing but passion and need to feel.

To break out of the box of this human existence so systematized in this age of screen and politics and religion.

We can escape,

and we always will make that sweet escape and run towards our forever.

That is our form.

I saw it and felt it and learn it more with every experience we have.

I almost taught you the chant.

I know it will come soon my love, but only when we are ready.

Only when this planet is ready.

Only when we can chant and stomp and make it come to life.

It is a sacred root of mine and I will hold it forever.

As you have yours.

As we are the two trees bound together with root systems so tight and intertwined there could never be any separation even with the most of effort.

I am your past and your future, as you are mine.

You are the river I drink from and I am the plants beneath your feet.

And with that sacred truth we will continue to run deeper and deeper into the universe.
